Adrian Gaspar is a pianist who favors the confluence between Oriental and Occidental traditions, an artist who succeeds in creating a bridge between varying musical cultures and influences, rendering them in an electrifying manner. Coming from a roma family from Central Europe, Adrian Gaspar specialised as a jazz pianist, but his quest for musical languages transcending cultural barriers have been crystallized in truly memorable concerts and musical materials.
Alongside the four artists sharing his dedication for eclecticism and pluri-musicality, Adrian Gaspar has built the foundation of the project “Improvision”. “Balkanix” presents a modern and daring interpretation, inspired by Balkanic music – an original mix of styles, intended to raise new discussions regarding the so-called cultural limits of music.
