Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Medallion

A reassertion of Mozart’s values and genius in the spirit of do minor for piano K. 491, through a circumstantial symphony, through which Mozart deliberately enters the great symphonic genre, no. 36, in do major, Linz and nevertheless, through one of the most intense of his opera ouvertures, that of Don Giovanni, K 525, justifies the Mozart Medallion set for the second week of the 2015-2016 season.

“In the second half of the XVIIIth century, when the classical style is founded, Mozart’s personality was imposed through the stylistic synthesis he operates with and through the highlight of the affective tonus in his work. A Mozart medallion, among the first concerts of our season of 2015-2016, becomes more than a professional responsibility or an homage to the creative genius from Salzburg.” – dr. Alin Văcean, manager of Arad Philharmonic

Set to take place on Thursday evening, October 8th, at 7 PM in the hall of Arad Military Center, the medallion gathers top works of the universal repertory and is counted among the great expectations of the concert series.

Conductor Cristian Neagu will be at the front of the symphonic orchestra, while his second, in this evening where illustrious musical references will be centre-stage, is Italian pianist Ippazio Ponzetta.
