Carol concert performed by the Academic Choir, at the “Holy Trinity” Orthodox Cathedral
As a preamble of the celebration of The Lord’s Birth, a fitting occasion to listen to joyous songs and relive traditions, our concert of carols makes the calendar of our spiritual gatherings wholesome.
The evening of December 21st is set aside for the carols performed by the Philharmonic’s Academic Choir, conducted by Robert Daniel Rădoiaş, in which the classics of Romanian choral music – Tiberiu Brediceanu, Dimitrie G. Kiriac, Gheorghe Cucu, Nicolae Lungu, Timotei Popovici or Emil Monţia – as well as cutouts from the precious pages of the Byzantine Christmas Oratorium by Paul Constantinescu are to be included in the programme starting with 6 PM, at the “Holy Trinity” Orthodox Cathedral. Witnesses to a tradition almost entirely preserved, the carols deliver the message of omenous thinking, sharing tales from the universal calendar of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Our greetings will join these amazing Christmas songs. You are all welcome to receive them and live the Holidays to the fullest!
