The final concert from the Season of 2014-2015 awaits its public on Sunday, 28th June, with a special repertoire prepared by the artists of the Philharmonic. The show will take place on the stage set on the „Pădurice” Lake and will consist of a selection of ouvertures, dances, arias, canzonets and choral pieces from the works of composers Bela Bartók, Georges Bizet, Johannes Brahms, Leonard Bernstein, Charles Gounod, Augustin Lara, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jacques Offenbach, Gioacchino Rossini, Franz von Suppé, Giuseppe Verdi.

The programme, which was put forward by József Horváth, guest conductor at Arad Philharmonic, is a powerful indicator of the strength of both the instrumental and choral assemblies (the latter being conducted by Robert Daniel Rădoiaş) and the special guests of the Philharmonic – Eliza Zaharia, coloratura soprano, and tenor Remus Alăzăroae.

Referential works, such as the “Queen of the Night” Aria from The Magic Flute (Mozart), “The Doll Song” from The Tales of Hoffmann (Jacques Offenbach), the Duke of Mantua’s aria from Rigoletto (Giuseppe Verdi) or the aria of the flower from Carmen (Georges Bizet) are just a few of the lyrical numbers for the evening, among the choirs of Don Pasquale or Nabucco, the symphonic dances of Johannes Brahms and Béla Bartók or the parts by Ernesto de Curtis and Carlos Gardel.
