The Nutcracker Suite op. 71a
An evening dedicated to ballet suites, under the lead of master Peter Oschanitzky
He had loved ballet since childhood, while later on, throughout his musical activity, he considered it to be “the most innocent and moral of all arts”. One of the greatest names in music and a true master of ballet music, Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky signed, in the XIXth century, the most spectacular titles in the choreographical art of all times. Inspired by the famous children’s fictions, The Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, resumed by orchestras in comprised versions, configure the first composer medallion in the New Year – on Thursday evening, 14th January.
Preferred by the great majority of the musical public, the exuberance of the most romantic composer of the XIXth century is highlighted through these pages, rich in grandiose ideas, fantastic orchestrations and unique pieces.
Representative pieces such as The Dance of the Small Swans from The Swan Lake, the Rose Adagio from Sleeping Beauty or The Flower Waltz from The Nutcracker consolidate the orchestral fragments in the area as some of the most cherished symphonic opuses in the universal repertory, offering the ideal formula for an evening one cannot forget.
Master Peter Oschanitzky warrants a great performance of the orchestral ensemble, inviting the passionate public to an unforgettable evening of classical music.
