The Symphony Orchestra and Academic Choir resume their work in the autumn, with the most anticipated lyrical event of the Premiere, the Open Air Opera Gala. With a repertoire of mostly Italian and French performances of the nineteenth century and a predominantly feminine solo distribution, this year’s edition is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, 2 September 2018, at 20.00, in the Reconciliation Park.
Together with famous pieces from the works of Barber of Sevilla (Gioachino Rossini), Nabucco, Traviata, Force of Destiny, Don Carlo, Macbeth (Giuseppe Verdi), Tosca, Boema (Giacomo Puccini), Carmen (Georges Bizet), Romeo and Juliet (Charles Gounod ), there are prepared Viennese operetta numbers, film music or arrangements of some light Romanian music refrains, made by the unparalleled Sabin Păutza.
The guests of this year’s Opera Gala are conductor Victor Gheorghe Dumănescu, sopranos Eva Eron (Italy), Paula Iancic, Annamaria Kászoni, mezzo-soprano Mihaela Ispan and tenor Traian Miscu, and the support of the choral numbers is provided by the academic choir, prepared by Robert Daniel Radoias.
